How to apply for a criminal record letter in Barcelona

Are you Mexican and are you going to carry out any procedure before a foreigner's office that requires a criminal record letter?
As of August 11, 2021, in addition to the SSPC, Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, Prevention and Social Readaptation, the Mexican Consular Offices will also be able to assist in the request and management of the issuance of a criminal record letter. - Prevention and Social Readaptation, the Mexican Consular Offices will also be able to assist in the request and management for the issuance of this letter.In order to request a criminal record, it is necessary that you perform the following steps:
Request an appointment by writing to the following email firstname.lastname@example.org. In the same you must attach the following documents; these must be attached in a single file.
1. Your Unique Population Registry Code (CURP).
2. Certified copy of the Birth Certificate (legible without erasures or amendments). In case you do not have it, you can download it at the following link following the instructions: https://www.gob.mx/ActaNacimiento/.
3. Proof of identity by presenting the original of one of the following valid documents with photograph: Mexican passport and voting card issued by the INE. This document must not be more than 5 years old.
4. Registration of the place of residence in Spain (in SPANISH and not less than 2 months old). You must provide your contact telephone number and e-mail.Important: On the day of the appointment you must present the original documentation and a photocopy. Biometrics will be taken on the same day.
1.Once the Consular Office receives the response from the SSPC authorizing the issuance of your letter, a new appointment will be scheduled for the issuance of the document.
2. On the day of the second appointment, you must present your valid official identification.
3. You will proceed to make the payment to receive the background letter, whose cost in Euros ($16.00 usd) depends on the exchange rate of each month. Payment can be made at the Consular Office by credit card.
Once the background letter is delivered to you, you must:
1. Request the certification of the signature of the Mexican Foreign Service officer who issued the CAPF from the General Directorate of Foreign Service and Human Resources (DGSERH) of the SRE in Mexico City. The procedure and requirements can be consulted at the link.
2. Once the above is done, the Apostille or legalization of the document must be processed before the SEGOB, presenting the CAPF issued by the Consular Office, accompanied by the certification of signature issued by the SRE, at the following web page.
